HEALTH & SAFETY GUIDELINES

  • In the case of an emergency, please contact the nearest staff member for help. There are medics onsite who are fully equipped to deal with all situations. Our staff is here to assist you!
  • The festival is partially outdoors. Please come prepared for any weather. This includes comfortable shoes for walking and dancing, and any necessary layers (keep an eye on the weather report when we get to the week of the show).
  • Note the location of exits, information points, first aid areas, and water refill stations when our site map is released.
  • Please cooperate with staff, security, and police. They are there to help make sure that everyone has a good time.
  • Please drink alcohol responsibly, which includes planning for a sober ride home- DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE.
  • Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water and electrolytes.
  • While there will be security onsite, ILLfest is not responsible for lost or stolen items. The best rule of thumb is to only bring the essentials with you.
  • Charging lockers will be available this year at ILLfest. We strongly encourage fans to pre-order theirs in advance to guarantee a locker.

WATER STATIONS & POLICIES

ILLfest will have ample free water refilling stations onsite, as well as refillable water bottles available for purchase at our merchandise booth.

Bars and food vendors will also be selling single-use water bottles, which you can recycle in our marked recycling areas.

You are allowed and encouraged to bring your own water bottle or refillable hydration packs, but they must be empty. Event security will ask you to pour out any contents upon entry.

    COMMUNITY POLICY

A note on headdresses and threatening messages:

ILLfest is committed to a safe and inclusive event for its attendees. All guests and working members need to feel safe, comfortable and welcome.

In this spirit, ILLfest requests that American Indian headdresses be left at home. Out of respect for the community, it is inappropriate to wear headdresses outside of traditional ceremonies. Additionally, while ILLfest supports diversity in signs, totems, and articles of clothing, words or images that threaten to harm others are not welcome at ILLfest.

ILLfest reserves the right to confiscate items deemed to be in violation of these policies at its discretion. As a team, we look forward to our vibrant and creative ILLfam honoring these requests. Thank you for working alongside our safety teams, workers and ILLfest family to make event choices that support our inclusive mission.
